LynLee Trying to Crawl

Since it's been so long since I have last posted, I thought that I would let all know that LynLee has been trying to try to crawl. Here is a pic of her on her little legs, but at this point she can't get the other leg out from under her and when she does she just ends up on her tummy again.

Also, I was in a dog fight. My dog and my mother-in-law's dog do not like each other. They got into it and in our haste to seperate the dogs I was in the middle. (my mother-in-law fared worse than I with three bites in various places.)

This has been my brief look at what has been happening in my life. Other than trying to get that blessed house completed we have not accomplished much.

House Completed!!!

Woo Hoo!!! The house is completed. I know that it has been forever and a day since I blogged, but the house that I last added into my blog is now completed. Here are the pics of the house now that we remodeled it and staged it for the open house.
Let me know what you think about the work that was done in the home.

New Job!!

My husband, Ricky, has gotten a new job. He was working at Celestial Seasonings, but called another guy about a roofing postion. That guy, Mike, hired him but quickly proved he was not a very worthy boss as he was always out of money and we soon saw that we would be better off licking our elbows than expecting to get paid. However, this led my husband to his current job of remodeling homes.

He started out doing small jobs, such as: fix trim on a bedroom door; paint a door; put in a heating vent; replace the weather stripping on the front door. And various tedious jobs like these. Since he started with this company he is now completing a whole house on his own. Wether he knows how to do some of the stuff or not that is a different subject.

I know that a huge list of items is a bit more daunting than a small list so in order to assist my husband I go to the house and paint here and there and generally organize the next step in the process. So far it has made quite a difference and I have taken pics to show the progress. So here are the starting pics.

I have made the upstairs bathroom my own little pet project!
Keep watching for new and updated photos! I am excited, I hope that you are too!

Holidays!!!

It's that time of year again. When fun is put into the family word: dysfunction!!! We all want to be around our families because that is what we are used to. The way we remember each holiday is to filter out the crap and then remember the good times. Ah, but here we are agian.

The family is all together, the fire is roaring in the fireplace, the snacks are out and around the table, drinks are abundant, and the bickering starts. It can be as insignificant as: "I told you to take out the trash" or as prominant as "The last time I told you about your money you said...." These could both start fights. But do we stay away from taboo topics. Not in this family. Or rather not in my new family with the In-laws.

I don't know. But I really miss my mother, God rest her soul. We had Thanksgiving each year at her house. Everyone dressed up in our nice clothes. We cooked and visited and had a genuinely good time. We didn't fight nor bicker really. It was nice, and homey, and felt real. I miss those times.

I hope that no matter how you celebrate this day that you all have a good day with your family and its filled with love and happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
